This new prize is awarded to films that contain “exceptional” elements, such as a special story or actor.
According to the KiKiFe jury, the film “. . .seems authentic, because the roles are not cast with professional actors, but with members of a real Canadian First Nations band. Moreover, we were impressed by the captivating score and the convincing blend of reality, dream and imagination.”
The KiKiFe jury consisted of a Grade 7 class at the local Montessori school.
